The Ride

Your journey will start at the Oriental Village, the main base station of the Langkawi Cable Car. It's a lively place with lots of shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Take your time to explore, try some local delicacies, and immerse yourself in Malaysian culture. The Oriental Village serves as a great way to kick off your cable car adventure!

During your ride, the cable car will make stops at different stations, each offering a unique experience. At the Middle Station, you can step out onto the viewing platforms and capture photos of the incredible rainforest canopy. The views are simply breathtaking, and you won't want to miss the chance to snap some memorable shots.

As you continue your ascent, you'll reach the Top Station, which sits at an impressive height of 708 meters above sea level. From here, you'll be treated to a panoramic vista of Langkawi's archipelago, neighboring islands, and even parts of Thailand on clear days. What Is The Best Time To Go On A Langkawi Cable Car Ride?

If you like quiet and peaceful surroundings during your Cable Car ride, we’d recommend going during the months between April and October. While this is Langkawi’s wet season, there are only a handful of tourists during these few months. 

If you want to see the sunny view and don’t mind waiting a bit for your turn on the ride, we’d recommend the summer season of Langkawi – November through March. While the tourist influx between these months are large, this is Langkawi’s high season. The views are to die for, and the wait isn’t too bad if you reach the station early.
